Russ Caslis, an accomplished PC modder, has just completed his latest project, The Computer Bike. Russ has put together a very thorough ‘making-of’ article which has been posted at ExtremeTech that details the process. Among the highlights of this unique case modification, we’ve got a working headlight for the power light, keyed ignition switch for a start button and a custom sound system that features authentic engine sounds during boot-up. Other interesting specs from the article…
- Case design based on classic “chopper” motorcycle
- Analogue clock in instrument cluster
- Working brake light / hard drive activity light
- Working exhaust pipes including an exhaust fan
- Custom RF-wireless keyboard and mouse
Vroom vroom, baby! This certainly gives new meaning to the idea of cruising the information super-highway.
