Now available in Japan, but no word on when (or if) it will be available in english speaking countries, the CraftRobo Pro Inkjet Printer has a built in cutting head for printing pre-cut patterns that fold into 3d objects. Seems like a fitting technology from the folks who brought us origami. Gizmodo’s Japanese correspondent Jaime Manzone says:
The craftrobo site features a library of downloadable patterns with novelties like robots, and dinosaurs, but the real fun begins in the box & bags section, where kids can download and print out their very own candy-colored “suspicious container” for anonymous deposit at their local train station.
