Waffle Iron PC Runs Linux
August 6, 2005 | In: Desktop Computers, Kitchen Appliances, Linux Gadgets
Now, since Kevin and I started digging around the gadgetsphere in search of cool stuff to post here, we’ve found some pretty unusual PC cases, but this one takes the cake. Philip over at Mini-Itx has built a Linux Powered Waffle Iron PC. He says:
Here is my Waffle Iron PC. I used an EPIA M10000 Mini-ITX board. It has 512MB RAM and a 160GB hard drive. I used an external USB CDROM to install the OS. It runs Linux – Fedora Core 2. It’s also got a TV Out card, so I can use this for a MythTV box if I choose later.

That is such a cool post and idea. I had not heard of anything close to this before. Some people are very ingenious. Great post and great site.

This is funny. I actually made the waffle-iron pc. It’s just sitting on my shelf now. I was looking @ Mod sites and I saw your blog.
