Yamaha YSP-800 Digital Sound Projector

Hey audiophiles! Those of you looking forward to the release of the Yamaha YSP-800 Digital Sound Projector, the more affordable version of the YSP-1, news out today is that these puppies will start landing in Europe this month.

If you’re not familiar with either the YSP-1 or the YSP-800, these are really cool compact systems that act as sound projectors, simulating 5.1 surround sound without the need to set up speakers all over your room with all those fun wires. The YSP-1 is available now but retails for $1300 USD. This newer model, the YSP-800, has a somewhat lower output of 82 watts instead of 120, but that should still fill most living rooms. The YSP-800 is going to be available for 699 euros or $866 USD in Europe. Still no word on exact pricing or release dates here in North America.
