The iPod Log

Apparently, some folks consider this to be urban chic. Up here in the northwoods, it’s what we put in the woodstove.
US based design firm House Special has a couple of interesting concept products, one of them being this, the iPod Story Log dock. A 2 foot section of tree has been crafted into a dock and speaker set. Ben Durrell, the man behind the log, was inspired by the pod casting trend and memories of sitting around campfires as a child.
Cool and I’m sure some of the city folk will find it kitschy, but when it’s the middle of January and it’s 40 below outside in my neck of the woods, one of these would last about 2 minutes before it became heating fuel.
More details at the House Special site.
