TechnicalVideoRental.com.Oh man, I think I just found my nirvana. I’m assuming most of you are familiar with Netflix, the service where you order movies online and they’re delivered to you and then you mail them back after you’ve watched them? Well, if you’re a geek who has an insatiable thirst for knowledge like me, you really need to check out TechnicalVideoRental.com.

This is an online service like Netflix, but the selection is strictly technical in nature. There’s an amazing range of topics available, with subjects like Aircraft Piloting, Beer Making, Vehicle Mechanics, Movie Special Effects, House Construction, Gunsmithing. The offerings are quite extensive.

This is US-based service. Most videos are $9.99 USD each and you get them for a week. When you’re done, just put them back in the cardboard mailer, affix the pre-printed return-address/return-postage label and drop them in the mailbox. It’s also available up here in Canada, but the return postage is not included in the $9.99 charge like it is for the American customers.

I better go hide my credit card before I hurt myself.
