Design e is a UK-based design firm that has come out with a series of innovative loudspeaker systems that take the concept of speaker design out-of-the-box so to speak. From the Design e web site…
The GT Series are about as far from the mass produced hi-fi market as it is possible to be. Each design possess a level of poise, elegance and unrivaled character that is all to rare in the world of hi-fi and home theatre.
Very funky! Design e has just released their latest in the series, the GT3, which are the white speaker in the image. The GT3 units measure 51mm or 20″ in height and can handle up to 125W of amp power. Unfortunately these funky speakers also come with a funky price. A set of two of the GT3’s will set you back £745 or a little shy of $1400 USD.
Check out the Design e web site for more details of these and the other speaker systems on offer.

1I have recently purchased a pair of the GT3 Series loudspeakers and find myself enjoying listening to music again.
I have been extremely impressed by their performance and build quality.
They look even better in the flesh than they do in the image and the use of solid oak components means that each piece is unique and individual.
If you want a loudspeaker that looks gorgeous and sounds fantastic for a shockingly reasonable price then look no further.

2Hi Brian, thanks for stopping by and offering your thoughts.
I think these look great and it’s cool to hear that they sound as good as they look. Maybe one day, I’ll be able to afford not only some quality loudspeakers like them, but a high-end system to power them.
Cheers
