Weather-Predicting Clothes Peg

Weather-Predicting Clothes PegNow here’s a silly invention. Oliver MacCarthy, a student at Brunel University in the UK has designed an intelligent clothes peg which apparently uses some simple forecasting equipment embedded within the device to predict the weather. If the device thinks that it might rain within the next little while, then it locks shut preventing you from hanging up your clothes.

Unfortunately, it’s just a prototype right now, but given the propensity for rain showers in jolly olde England, they’re liable to be quite the hit if and when they make it to market.

Silly me, I just check the freaking weather report before I hang out my laundry! Crude and primitive, yes, but it works.
