Whirpool Launches The Fabric Freshener
September 8, 2005 | In: General
US-based appliance manufacturer Whirlpool has announced the launch of what they’re referring to as the Fabric Freshener. This portable device uses steam to remove wrinkles and bad odors from clothing without the need for chemicals or detergents.
It works by hanging your clothes in the Fabric Freshener compartment, pouring water into the base, and letting her rip. It creates a steam bath which will remove the wrinkles and take out the odors. It’s essientially a way to wash clothes without actually washing your clothes.
The unit also comes with a set of “Cotton Performance Weight Packs” which you attach to the bottoms of your cotton clothing to help them stretch out the heavier-duty wrinkles of cotton. When not in use, the device folds down flat allowing easy storage either under your bed and in a closet.
The suggested retail price according to the Whirlpool product page here is $249 USD.
