Playskool’s RoboSapien Junior
September 30, 2005 | In: Robots Cyborgs, Toys and Pranks
Last night, I finally got a chance to watch the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy movie, which I should have done much sooner, seeing as how I believe that Douglas Adams was one of the greatest literary masters in the history of the human civilization. And then, lo and behold this morning, I come across this little fellow in my intraweb travels, which immediately reminded me of Marvin, the lovable and neurotic robot from the Guide series.
Put out by Hasbro under their Playskool label, the RoboSapien Junior is targeted at the pre-schooler crowd. L’il Junior dances to his own music, moves forward and backwards, has eyes that light up and giggles when runs into stuff. He’s also built super-tough, cause you know, pre-schoolers can be vicious when it comes to their toys.
No word on pricing from Hasbro’s product page here. I, personally, can’t wait for someone to put up a tutorial on how to hack the chips in these things. I could create my very own Marvin!
