Got an old useless desktop mic lying around that you’d like to get off your desk? Got Legos? Well, a friend of mine, Terry Crim had both and with some creativity he combined the two to make a cool adjustable Lego boom mic.
Basically he used a spring clip to hold the mic onto a long Lego piece, a couple of Lego hinges, a Lego winch and some rubber bands to make the whole thing adjustable in relation to where he was sitting in front of his computer, and mounted it to holes in the shelving unit attached to his desk.
Some of the parts he used for the Lego boom mic be seen in the photo below.
