Ok, so Toshiba just announced their new line of REGZA H1000 LCD HDTV televisions. Gizmodo sez:
…Toshiba announced the REGZA H1000 LCD HDTV line, offering DVR-equipped screens in sizes of 42, 37, and 32 inches. The announcement follows the company’s decision to cease production of all its old-fashioned CRT TVs and yesterday’s flurry of four Toshiba LCD HDTV intros…
But what I find more interesting is the fact that they also announced the end of production of their regular old CRT TVs.
With LCD and Plasma’s dropping in pricing to more affordable levels, is this a trend we’ll see other TV manufacturers follow? Will we soon see the end of big fat CRT box TVs on store shelves?
