PS3 Delayed

There were some rumors that PS3 would be delayed, and to end the conversation the big mans at Sony stepped up and have announced that the gaming system will only be launched in November (3rd to be exact), and not during the Spring like it was supposed to.

There are some pros and cons if you think about it, the main one being a huge difference from the XBox 360 launching.

Sony will launch the PS3 at the same date in different continents – Europe, Asia and USA – unlike the XBox that had different dates for each continent, and that could be the reason why the sales weren’t too high in Asia, or not…

There is also a goal of producing 1 million PS3s per month, instead of a couple a hundred like the XBoxs. This means: no more waiting in the line from the previous day of the launch till 8am when the stores open. Unless you’re a true maniac and are afraid of not having one, if this is the case you can pre-order one…

The other goal is a minimum number of games available by the time the product is released, and that number is 10.

What could be the bad things about this delay? Nintendo could take advantage and launch the Revolution system with hopes of good sales, or Microsoft can also take advantage and try to sale more XBoxs.
