LMS is the future of SMS
May 26, 2006 | In: Cellular Phones, General

SMS stands for Short Messaging Service – the current cellphone text messaging system that only supports 160 characters per message.
And what is the meaning of LMS? Long Messaging Service – a system recently developed/announced by MicroTechnologies in which the limit is 800 characters.
The final destination of this new service is suppose to be for sending news, promotinal schemes (and others), but I can see myself using it in some situations.
The product requires java compatible handsets to run with GPRS activated SIM, the company added.
