New Firefox Mascot – Alexandra Ansgar

Mozilla just finished the deal with a top model to promote the world-wide-known browser – Firefox – in a campaign that targets Microsoft geeks that still use Internet Explorer. Desperate times call for desperate measures…
So, I would like to congratulate the new sexy-blond-Scandinavian Firefox mascot: Alexandra Ansgar.
This is just the first of many photos that Mozilla and the rest of the crew is working on, keep up with the good work guys.
Looks like Apple is not the only one scoring some points with beautiful women and sales campaigns, remember Gisele Bundchen?

Alexandra Ansgar is a made up name from an alphabetical list of hotels in Copenhagen.

Definitely not true. Dutch technewssite Webwereld (http://www.webwereld.nl/ref/rss/41566) seems to believe it’s true, but ofcourse this is a hoax. The picture and the link lead to Spanish sites, which posted it over a month ago and didn’t speak about her being a mascot. As Malc said, her name is made up (http://www.google.com/search?q=%22alexandra%20ansgar%22) All the same, she looks more like an adult moviestar than a topmodel anyway…. Does anyone have an idea who she is?

By the way malc, Ansgar is a Scandinavian name. Just because there hotels in Copenhagen that have the same name doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
Also Frederik, only because you can’t find info on Google about a name doesn’t mean the person doesn’t exist.
But as I said in the previous comment, the most important part of the post is the last paragraph
