A couple of days ago I found a photo of a hot chick wearing a Firefox shirt, after 30 seconds of admiration and examination I thought to myself: I can’t be selfish, need to share this with someone… wouldn’t it be cool to write about this on Gadgetizer? Maybe proclaim this beauty the Firefox mascot? I’ll make this out of pure fun and hopefully no one will believe it.

So, I made up a name for the girl and decided to call her Alexandra Ansgar, also had to give her a nationality and picked up Scandinavian. With this in mind, I wrote the good news and published them with a cool title: New Firefox Mascot - Alexandra Ansgar . I didn’t want the story to seem too rightful, so at the end of the post, I wrote:

Can this be true? I’ll let you decide.

One day after writing the post, here are some of the sites that picked up the story:

Some people thought it was true, others found out it was false very quickly because of another photo (not suitble to view at work or near children).

For those that still have any doubts, it is indeed a hoax that I created.
