If you remember the Echery Mouse Pad and how odd it looked/worked, the situation changes when the Edgewing gets in the way.
It’s designed to prevent wrist/palm injuries and it probably does a good job, the smooth curved surface that can be attached to the table is exactly what I need because I have the mouse near the edge of my desk, and when using the computer a lot it gets a bit painful.
Also helps to sit correctly like you can see here - instead of having the mouse far from the edge of the table making you lean forward, with the Edgewing you can place the mouse near the border of the table and sit in a correct manner.
Simple, yet efficient.
