Linux Counter is a project that aims to get a number of Linux users in the world, it started back on 1993 and the person in charge is Harald Alvestrand.
There can’t be an exact number of Linux users, so the latest guess (made on march 2005) is about 29 million, showing signs of growth from that time to today… If you’re a user of this operative system and not registered at the Linux Counter, go ahead and complete the simple form for submission.
A second purpose of the Linux Counter is to make it possible for Linux users to find each other. The Linux Counter is reporting Linux users sorted per almost any place in the world.
