To continue with the latest sage of bad laptop batteries produced by Sony with overheating problems, Apple is also recalling 1.8 million batteries, not as many as Dell but it’s still a high figure.
The iBook G4 and Powerbook G4 are the victims, add the selling period between October 2003 and August 2006 - and we got a couple of free-new-battery winners.
More information at the Apple website battery program. I love the little note they wrote that shows customer dedication at 100%:
Note: After removing the recalled battery from the iBook or PowerBook, consumers should plug in the AC adapter to power the computer until a replacement battery arrives.
Oh really?
