How Technorati Sucks
September 11, 2006 | In: General

Technorati is the biggest internet search engine for searching blogs.
Too bad that it sucks and most of the times doesn’t work properly. Right now it is not displaying any links under the Gadgetizer domain, but at the same it says that there are other sites linking to the domain.
Don’t think that I’m the only one criticizing technorati, according to a google search for “technorati problems” there are plenty of us.

I agree with this observation. I note also that technorati says that my site has not been updated for 125 day, but at the same time technorati is showing back links to articles 1 or 2 old.

That sucks micheal, I wonder if they will get technorati fixed after the latest investment with an amount of a couple million dollars…

Sorry about the link search glitch, we’ve had a heightened level of system instability as the data center moves continue (see http://technorati.com/weblog/2006/08/114.html). I’m expecting to see things stabilize over the next week or so and we have some more system improvements cooking, so please stay tuned.
Thanks,
Ian Kallen

[...] After complaining about Technorati’s service (or the lack of it) on this post, I was kind of surprised to see a comment made by someone (of the technorati staff) explaining the reason of the mess, it shows that they care about their users. [...]
