Security and Cellphones – P903i
October 30, 2006 | In: Cellular Phones, General

The latest cellphone announced in Japan takes care of any security problems that might occur, it is code-named P903i and produced by NTT DoCoMo. The new system includes a black card (security key) that connects wirelessly to the phone and makes the following security features possible:
- Facial identification – to setup this system just shoot some photos of yourself and save them. Next time someone wants to turn on the phone, it will ask to take a photo and check if it matches the stored picture.
- 4 letter password – just to protect you from your twin brother that wants to check your messages/e-mails/contacts and use his face to have access to the system, he must know the password too.
- Distance setup – locks the phone if you get too far away from it. Pick from 26, 66 or 130 feet as the secure distance.
- GPS system – if someone steals your cellphone you will be able to know where it is. This doesn’t mean you will be able to recover it…
