Google Gmail Mobile
November 3, 2006 | In: Cellular Phones
Google has launched Gmail for java-enabled phones today, creating a custom application for your phone rather than using a mobile browser of some sort.
If you go to Google.com/mobile you can put in your cellphone’s number and have Gmail send you a link that will download the application if you have the right kind of phone. The experience of having a dedicated application for your mail is much slicker than fumbling around with the browser, it seems.
