Samsung ENS Q40 - Sub-Notebook PC

On the portable computer world there are 2 kind of species: notebooks and sub-notebooks which are suppose to be much more smaller and lighter.

In this case, Samsung has presented the ENS Q40 that is full of features but weights 1.18 kg which can be considered a heavy sub-notebook, just days ago Sony unveiled the Type G laptop that only weights 898 grams so… you get the idea. Anyway, this small notebook comes with a 12-inch screen and a minimal 18.5mm keyboard for your daily typing needs.

On the inside there is the Intel brand of course, with a Centrino U1400 processor at 1.1 GHz and 1GB of RAM. In terms of connectivity there are some basic features missing like bluetooth, but on the other hand it can handle 5 flash memory cards and 802.11abg wireless LAN.

Not sure if this is a Korean release only, but at least we know that the red ENS Q40 sub-notebook will cost 2,190,000KRW – close to $2,300 if I’m not mistaken.
