In an effort to improve Google Earth and Google Maps information about Europe, the giant has aquired a swiss company called Endoxon.
What exacly is Endoxon? A developer of internet mapping solutions, mobile services, data processing, cartography, direct marketing and the Trinity software suite.
Interestingly enough Google only bought 3 of their business units which are the ones that they can take advantage of - Endoxon’s internet, mapping and data processing – they will probably copy or adapt data from there to Google Earth/Google Maps of Europe.
The Ogle Earth Blog has more detailed information about this subject in case you are interested.
