Mecanno Spyke Robot
January 27, 2007 | In: General, Robots Cyborgs

Earlier this month at CES there was a cool robot presented by Mecanno and named Spyke (just like my dog), the real good news is that a few days ago PocketLint came up with more information the robotic piece:
- Wi-Fi connection – so it can be controlled via the internet
- 2 motors – so it can move around as needed, robots need exercise too!
- Compatible with Skype – no need to be near the computer to use the free internet phone, just place the robot near you and use the mic
- Motion sensors – leave the robot securing your house during the holidays, and if it detects any movement it will either send an email with a picture (hopefully, with the face of the burglar) or sound an alarm
- Video Camera + Microphone + Loudspeaker + MP3 Player
