Prelude: During the past years there have been some news related to people losing their jobs due to their personal blogs, the most famous is probably Heather Amstrong that writes on Dooce – I love her blog (and dog).
The Story: A Portuguese judge that goes by the name of Hélder Fráguas has been suspended of court functions because of obscene and improper language used on his personal blog. I must say that after browsing his piece of art on blogspot – Aqui e Agora – I couldn’t find any bad words like merda (shit) or puta (b*tch). Thank g-d I can write whatever I want and won’t get suspended…
You can add this one to the previous interesting stories that have blogs as the main subject, such as:

If the Portuguese blogosphere is any indication, this is quite controversial in the country itself (people have been calling for a reform of the administrative council of the Judicial system for a while now).
Indeed, there is no obscene language whatsoever, but it deals with some controversial topics, for example, the right to suicide, capital punishment and the death of Hermann Goring, amongst other things.
I’m thinking of writing some translations of his blog posts in order to give the English world an idea of just how odd this suspension is.
