If you feel like an insecure person when it comes to using your gadgets in public places, like your iPod for example, maybe this iPod Nano Lock can help you. It is a simple 4-digit combination lock + cover that makes the task of removing the cover to get the iPod a lot harder. After stealing the device the thief can either guess the code after trying 34425 times, or break the lock but at the same time he will be damaging the iPod.
As you can see, there is not a great detail in real security because thieves can steal it easily, but you are betting on is their good faith and hoping that they would deliver the iPod after seeing that there is no use to it. Smart or just plain dumb? I will opt for the second.
Anyway, the iPod Nano Lock costs $67.
Other details include:
- Available in black or white only
- Dimensions: 66×20x130cm
- Weight: 78grams
- Extra acessory to protect the click-wheel and display
PS – There is a good and interesting review at Engadget about a similar (if not the same) iPod Locker by Targus.
