It was about time for the Yahoo folks to make a move on their free webmail system, so two days ago they announced that there will be no limit in terms of email storage capacity starting on May 2007. This is certainly a step in the right direction since their competitors already have similar features for a long time.
One of the problems with Yahoo Mail (in my opinion) is that it lags up my browser pretty bad, the new (months old) AJAX based webmail they created has some cool features, but in the end I like Gmail better because it is easier to use and much lighter.
On the other hand Gmail doesn’t offer unlimited email storage, if I’m not mistaken they got an upgraded paid version but maybe that will chance in the near future, or not. Currently the Google Mail has something like +2GB free for each account, I bet that some users already passed that limit and probably upgraded to have more capacity.
