New Sony CompactFlash Cards
April 17, 2007 | In: General, Storage Devices

In a not surprising move made by Sony they have decided to join a new market (for them) which is related to the CompactFlash Cards.
Think of some digital camera and portable media players that use this kind of storage system, and think of customers looking at the Sony storage products – a real comfort for some people to see a world-wide recognized brand in this area.
Anyway, the new two memory card models have the following specs:
- 66x transfer speed model has 3 different storage capacities: 1GB, 2GB and 4GB
- 133x transfer speed model only with 2GB and 4GB
A 4GB CompactFlash card can hold up to 1,508 JPEG photos taken with 10 megapixel resolution in ‘Standard’ image setting, or up to 968 photos in ‘Fine’ mode.
No information about the price yet, expect to see them on the shelves starting on May.
