Asus Will Launch Cheap 7-Inch Laptops

Asus has made a public announcement related to their upcoming low-cost laptops that will have a very small 7-inch monitor and feature Intel’s Solid State Disk technology.
There isn’t much information available besides the price – between $200 and $550 – and the flash memory capacities which will be at a maximum of 40GB.
I guess people buying these laptops will have to stick with the old 640×480 resolution, what a pitty…
Someone from Asus (who requested anonymity), comments:
Tech giants such as Intel Corp don’t want to miss out on the potential of the budget PC segment, and we are working with [Intel] to tap into the market.
