Linear Tape-Open (LTO) Ultrium Generation 4

Storage space is still a problem in some companies that have huge amounts of data, but to make it less problematic Fujifilm has announced a neat solution:

4th Generation of Linear Tape-Open Ultrium cardridges that are able to hold 800GB of data and feature transfer speeds of 120Mbps. Luckily, for some people, the mass production mode started recently and the “final product” will become available in 5 days (April 30).

These data cartridges also feature the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit encryption “to keep data secure.”
