I’m not a fan of American Idol simply because I don’t live on the US, but I know many people that do and the majority enjoys the show due to the potential that upcoming artists show on stage. The Portuguese version of the show was a good as well, the first sessions were pure comedy.

It seems like Apple also likes the Idols (or their popularity) and to really prove that feeling they decided to offer the performances of a special edition of the American Idol show on iTunes. There are both audio and video versions available.

Each time a clip is bought, the proceeds made will be donated to the various organizations that participated in the “Idol Gives Back” show.
