The Google folks have added a new communication feature to the Google Calendar which can be described as SMS alerting – you setup a reminder on the calendar and instead of alerting via email like it happened until yesterday, the new feature enables the use of SMS reminders.
This means that instead of only using the online world (email) to keep you up to date with the reminders, Google is making efforts on the offline world (cellphone) too.
