USB Fingerprint Reader

The Huyndai USB Fingerprint Reader can become a good accessory to keep a computer secure, the “intruders” will have to use an unique thing (a fingerprint) instead of hacking or guessing passwords to get a hand on the personal + important data.

On the other hand, there was an episode on Myth Busters in which they tested various expensive security systems and some included a fingerprint reader. They were able to “hack it” by using a simple paper photocopy of the finger, so maybe this cheap $25 reader doesn’t offer the security you really need.

Anyway, it has some interesting features such as securing a specific file or folder, a screen saver lock and a windows login/web lock.
