iHome IH10 – The Retro iPod Dock
June 13, 2007 | In: iPods

The number of iPod docks on the market is pretty high, and to make something unique becomes a bit difficult, so one of the solutions is to come up with a very good looking product in terms of style such as the iHome iH10.
Does the retro style please you? If so you will be delighted with the iH10. On top of being a cool iPod dock, it also features AM/FM radio and a line-in jack. If only it had a clock it would be a real hit for sure.
Don’t be mistaken by its size, while there isn’t any specific information about the dimension, it is known to be a “Table Radio”.
Price: $49 – available in the near future.
Already available on Wal-Mart, thanks to Micheal for the tip.

Hey, I just thought I’d let you know, they are available now…either that, or my local Wal-Mart has broken street date. I saw one this afternoon.

I bought one of these from Walmart in solid black (the only color available at Walmart). To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from a $40 unit, but the simple retro look really appeals to me and I figured at worse I could always return it. To my surprise, this little unit puts out an amazing amount of sound! It’s perfect for a bedroom, dorm room or office. The iHome IH10 doesn’t charge your iPod, nor does it have a remote or clock, but it’s rich sound and deep bass make up for the lack of extras. It’s no ghetto blaster either, so don’t expect it to shake the house down, but it does provide a clean rich distortion-free sound that music lovers will appreciate. Hands down, it’s the best $40 bucks I’ve spent. If you’re looking for a simple and inexpensive iPod dock, the iHome IH10 is definitely worth a look.

I forgot to mention a few things about the iHome IH10B. It comes with several black colored docking connectors for various iPod models and it will charge your iPod Nano, but the docking connector it comes with is for the Gen 2 Nano. If your Nano is a Gen 3 you’ll have to use the white docking connector that your Gen 3 nano came with. It won’t be a perfect color match, but it will fit just fine and will keep your Gen 3 iPod nano in place.
