Mortal Kombat DS Will Be Available To Play Online

Mortal Kombat

Good news for all the Mortal Kombat fans that have a Ninendo DS. The upcoming MK version called Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the portable console will have an online mode (WiFi) so you can play against other people.

In my opinion playing online versus other people is always better than playing versus the computer, because you know there is a human-being behind playing on the other side and not an easy “robot” with low/average AI. This is a step in the right direction and a feature that most part of the “good games” should have.

The “news” was transmitted by Ed Boon (co-creator of Mortal Kombat) in a recent interview for IGN:

IGN: Explain what “Ultimate Mortal Kombat” is for the Nintendo DS.

Ed Boon: Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the Nintendo DS combines the arcade version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Puzzle Kombat which first appeared on Mortal Kombat Deception. Both games are included on this version and they both can be played solo, locally against a friend (on another DS) or online over the internet. We’re really excited to have both of these games in one!
