Augmentix XTG630

It looks like there is still a market for ugly laptops which are strong, robust, and rough. That is the case with the latest product announced by Augmentix, a notebook codenamed XTG630 with a 14.1-inch LCD screen that features DirectVue LCD technology:

DirectVueâ„¢ display technology dramatically improves viewability in direct sunlight.

It reduces reflectivity and enhances contrast ratio, while retaining superior processor and battery performance.

In the inside of the new Augmentix laptop you will find an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (Santa Rosa) running at 2.4Ghz, an Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100, the obvious bluetooth + wi-fi, with other wireless options being EDVO Rev A, HSDPA 3.6, and GPS connectivity.

The RAM memory can go from 512MB to 4GB, while the storage capacity options are a SATA hard-drive with 80GB, or a Solid State Drive containing 32GB.

The hard drive and the LCD are shock mounted, while the keyboard, touchpad, trackstick and fingerprint reader are moisture and dust resistant.

The Augmentix XTG 630 is already available in Desert Tan or Black Charcoal, check more images of the laptop.
