With the popularity of Flash SSD (Solid State Disk) drives and their usage on notebooks, the step from HP seems like an obvious one. And that is why they announced that some business-class laptops will feature the new kind of hard-drive, more specifically the 2710p, 2510p, 6910p and 8000 notebook series.

On a negative note, the maximum storage capacity on a SSD drive is only 64GB (so far), but since they can resist to crashes and bumps, it might be worth to back-up all the important data on a secure spot, and leave the rest for normal drives that cost less.

Price? Close to $1,000 and coming in October.
