M500 – Worlds Smallest Cellphone?
September 26, 2007 | In: Cellular Phones
There have been serious claims of unique gadgets in the world, such as the Worlds Most Expensive Turntable, and the Worlds Most Expensive TV, but the latest record was made by SMS Technology Australia, which takes the title for the Worlds Smallest Cellphone.
The I500 mobile phone has most of the “high-tech” features that current cellphones also have, like a TFT touch-screen, a MP3 and MP4 player for the music/video, bluetooth for a wireless connection, and 128MB of built-in memory.
The final specification will include internet web browser, gprs, java and MMS. The water-resistant M500 works on GSM Quad band frequencies which are 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 1900 MHz.
Being a cellphone with special characteristics has its benefits, and this includes a global launch made by Vodacom, in South Africa, on the second week of October.
