Sony XWL-1– Very thin TV
October 1, 2007 | In: Home Entertainment
Sony has recently presented a very thin TV with formidable specifications, it is code-named XWL-1 TV and it might be hard to believe, but it only measures 3mm thin. As you can see by the image, the design is pretty cool and has a futuristic look.
As for the specifications, the QHD screen measures 11-inches and provides a 960×540 resolution, with the contrast ratio being 1000:1. It comes with HD and HDMI ports and a considerable (low) price of $1734.
Sadly it seems that the thin Sony XWL-1 TV will only be released in Japan later this year.
Being only 3 mm thin the TV actually sits on a small stand where it appears all the cables and PSU are fitted.
