Yamaha EC-Dii - Fuel-Cell Bike

So far the EC-Dii is only a prototype, but I’m pretty sure that in the near future we’ll see a mass production mode of this cheap (in fuel) transportation vehicle.

The Yamaha Bike uses methanol-water as the fuel and it will be displayed during the Tokyo Motor Show taking place in China later this month.

The new Yamaha EC-Dii prototype fuel-cell bike is enhanced with new features like a Yamaha-exclusive compact cell stack that features the highest level of power density in the 1kW class, modular design components, readily available parts and improved serviceability aimed at achieving practical use.

Sadly there is not much more information available, the use of a rechargeable lithium battery and being one of the 19 Yamaha vehicles at the show are the last details.
