Symbian S60 Logo

With the recent launch of the iPhone, and the possibility of Google to enter in the cellphone market, it is only obvious for Nokia to take action and update the Symbian OS. With that being said, the upcoming S60 has the following to offer:

  • touch screen interface
  • tactile feedback so it becomes easier to type/use the device
  • different sensors such as motion, light, and proximity
  • new UI Accelerator toolkit
  • integrated Flash video on the S60 Web Browser

Also, the new UI Accelerator toolkit will allow device manufacturers to develop rapidly and easily impressive graphical effects and new types of interactions, further increasing the user appeal and excitement.
