DiskGo 32GB Flash Drive from Edge Tech
October 18, 2007 | In: Storage Devices, USB

I have already mentioned Edge Tech one month ago, the news were related to an “extreme” storage capacity system – remember the external HD with 1 GBTB?
Well, it seems like Edge Tech has done it again and presents a new DiskGo Flash Drive that can hold up to 32GB, which means that my SanDisk Cruzer Micro drive of 1GB is only a baby.
Technical features include a transfer rate up to 480Mb/s, and the inclusion of encryption software called CryptArchiver, sadly it is only a free preview. For $400 the Edge 32GB DiskGo flash drive can be yours.
The “sleek” silver housing is quite attractive and looks almost soft to the touch with its very rounded contours.

1 Gig external hard drive?? I remember when the company got that newfangled Konan 10 MEGABYTE external hard drive! It was the size of one of the IBM AT CPU boxes, and held more than anyone ever thought anyone would ever need to store!
And then they came out with the 10MB Bernouille Box — a cartridge the size of a clipboard that holds 10MB! Insane! Then they upped it to 40MB and shrank it to 5″…it was lunacy, impossible! Then they started putting hard drives inside the machines, 5mb, 10mb, 20mb, 30mb, 40mb…they started going up and up…

Gwen, thanks for the insightful story, but instead of 1GB replace it for 1TB, my mistake. Don’t worry because the whole thing still makes sense.
