Holux GPSmile 53CLife – GPS System
October 22, 2007 | In: GPS Systems
Holux has upgraded their line of GPS systems with the introduction of the new GPSmile 53CLife, which has technical improvements (not design-wise) when comparing to the normal GPSmile 53.
Instead of the SiRF chipset used on the old one, the 53CLife features the Mediatek MT3318 GPS chipset. Priced at $500 and with a 400MHz Samsung processor plus a 3.5-inch touchscreen, the light (170 grams) GPS system received a good review at HardwareZone.
The Holux GPSmile 53CL is wallet friendly, software upgradeable (at least it is so for maps), compact and portable, responsive, and boasts music and photo support. Budget hunters who are considering to get an affordable GPS navigation system will have one more fine selection to choose from.
PS – of course it has the usual suspects aka MP3 player and SD/MMC memory card slot. The bluetoth connectivity is optional.
