It's going for $800 now. What are they thinking to ask for such fancy price for an underperforming piece of plank on wheels. Cannot use to climb steep roads, cannot use in wet weather and the low profile tiny rubber wheels are bumpy and very dangerous too. Try riding over port holes and you better have padded ass and knees!

Meh, I have one the 2000X models and the battery stopped working right after a few months (won't hold much charge) on top of that the 'up to' speed has nothing to do with safety, I'm six foot and a bit over 200 pounds put a back back on me and these things barely can get up to half their projected top speed or less. Basically jogging speed. At $400 bucks it was barely a entertaining toy and fell far short of the tool I wanted to use to commute the mile and half to the train station and back daily. Can't recommend their products or customer support. BBW
