Cambridge Soundworks have updated their iPod docking system which is now called Soundworks i745. Besides the obvious iPod connection to listen to songs directly from the Apple player, the sound/video docking system can also play normal CDs and features AM/FM radio.
This upgraded version comes with a useful feature that makes it easy to create a home theater, which is being able to to play DVDs (can be connected to a TV via S-Video), so the only thing missing is good sound, and thanks to the integrated subwoofer that problem is solved.
Other features include a cool LCD display that shows information related to the iPod text, and a remote control that works with the iPod and dock itself.
Plus, dual alarms make for one terrific clock radio – with wake to a choice of iPod, audio disc or favorite station.
PS - it costs $500.
