Nintendo DS Lite

Nintendo has arranged a way for owners of the DS Lite to download, and view movies on the gaming console.

The upcoming service is called DSvision and will start its activity on March 2008, in Japan. The whole process to watch video content on the DS Lite isn’t the best, but it works. Basically, owners of the Nintendo gaming system have to buy a kit that costs close to $35 and comes with the following items:

USB dongle with a microSD card slot, a 512MB card and an adapter that fits into the DS Lite cartridge slot.

The movies will be available for purchase at the DSVision website, so users need to download the content, and transfer it from the computer to the DS Lite, by using the previously described kit.

Besides films, there are also TV shows, comics, and e-books. Thanks to their special compression methods, there can be 16 movies inside a 2GB microSD card.
