As the name suggests, the LaCinema Premier made by LaCie is a truly multimedia hard disk. Available in 3 different storage capacities: 500GB, 750GB, or 1TB, the external drive simply connects to your computer via the USB interface, and on the other end it is connected to a TV, by using the included cables.

In terms of different format files, LaCinema can read video, audio, images, and subtitles. Some of the popular formats that are supported: MPEG-4 and DVD-Video for the video section; MP3 and OGG in the audio part; JPEG and PNG for the photos and other images; and finally, subtitles in SRT and SUB.

Designed with HDTV screens in mind, it can adapt video content up to a 1080i resolution. Enjoy surround sound thanks to its optical output capability.
