A couple of weeks ago, Garmin unveiled a wristwatch with GPS functions, named Forerunner 405, which can be considered an upgrade of the previous 305 and 205 models. When comparing to the former versions, the biggest difference is the design, which means that the Forerunner 405 actually looks pretty good.
While it doesn’t have normal GPS functions related to maps, it can produce content associated with speed, distance, pace, and calories burned.
After doing all the exercise, the data is downloaded to a computer wirelessly. Priced at $320 and coming up during the first quarter of 2008.
Like previous models, Forerunner 405 also features the Virtual Partner, whose pace you can adjust as you wish - which may defeat the purpose of a challenge for some people. navigadget
