My Passport Elite – Portable USB Hard-Drive
March 25, 2008 | In: Storage Devices
Another day passes, and another portable drive is presented. This time the name is rather elegant – My Passport Elite – and the manufacturer is Western Digital.
The Elite drives come in 320GB and 250GB versions, with four options for the colors. Unlike what happens with other external drives that require a power supply, the Passport’s are powered via USB. In the end this means one less cable to carry and plug-in, which is always good.
To find specific files easier, it includes Google (search) software, and to know how much space is still available, just check the capacity gauge.
Connect My Passport to any PC and run MioNet® Key software to remotely access files, music, and photos from any of your computers with MioNet software installed.
As for the prices, My Passport Elite of 250GB costs close to $170, and the bigger 320GB version is $200.

[...] The working method is intuitive – turn the dock on, and use the USB cable to create a connection to your computer. Afterwards, use it like a normal external drive. [...]
